Seeing Colombia in its beauty - in keeping with this vision, Ames is developing a unique collection of furniture and home decor manufactured in Colombia. Founded in 2006 by Ana María Calderón Kayser and her husband Karl-Heinz Kayser, the company predominantly uses the country’s traditional natural materials and craft techniques for their collection.
German designer Sebastian Herkner is a long-term collaborator of Ames and has visited Colombia multiple times. He not only immersed himself in the culture and beauty of the country, but also met the local Ames artisans and learned about their traditional weaving techniques.
The round Cielo Table is a compact design, ideal for small terrace spaces, balconies or dining areas. The collection also includes a series of bright and versatile chairs, daybeds and bar stools all suitable for indoor and outdoor. A light, versatile and comfortable design with colours inspired by Sebastian’s visits to Colombia.
Powder coated aluminium top matching the galvanised steel base covered with a decoration of PVC strings made from recycled plastic.
